The comfortable Lianshulu Lodge is the only true wilderness lodge in the East Caprivi Strip of Namibia, a forgotten land largely untouched by the influence of man.
LOCATION
Lianshulu Lodge lies on the banks of the Kwando River, 150km west of Katima Mulilo, and 45km south of Kongola.
The lodge is situated on a private concession within the 850 square km Mudumu National Park and lies just 55 km north of the Mamile National Park in the Linyanti swamps.
This area is the Namibian equivalent of the Okavango Delta with lush floodplains, attractive islands and vast flowing rivers and quiet lagoons.

ATTRACTIONS
Lianshulu was instrumental in founding the Lizauli Traditional Village, which allows visitors the opportunity to experience unique traditions and culture.
Wildlife to be seen in the area includes impala, zebra, hippo, elephant, bushbuck and buffalo.
During the night you can often hear the call of lions and hyena. Occasional sightings of wild dog and sitatunga occur.
There is an abundance of birdlife. Of the 400 species occuring in the Caprivi, some of the most unusual species include Western Banded Snake Eagle, Bateleur Eagle, Fish Eagle, Pygmy Geese, Lesser Jacana, Purple Banded Sunbird and the African Golden Oriole.
FACILITIES
The facilities at Lianshulu Lodge make it one of the finest in the area. This exclusive and private twenty-two bedded lodge is surrounded by a variety of indigenous trees and rich riverine vegetation.
Accommodation includes charming reed and thatched, riverside, twin-bedded A-frame chalets with en-suite facilities.
In addition there is a large thatched lounge, bar and dining area overlooking the Lianshulu lagoon where superb delicious meals are served each day. There is also a swimming pool and bird watching hides.

Activities include boating along the Kwando River, nature drives in open 4x4 vehicles and guided walks within the Mudumu National Park.
